Pariveda Solutions Summer Interns 2014 Internship

Pariveda Solutions was founded in October 2003 with the vision of creating a unique consultancy that grows and deploys talented people to solve the technical and strategic challenges of our clients. "Pariveda means 'gaining the benefits of complete knowledge' in Sanskrit, and defines our problem-solving approach. Whether we are designing a custom software solution, helping a client refine their IT strategy or negotiating a software vendor contract, we seek to understand the entire system at hand, not just the pieces that are important for our immediate task. This allows us to find the right long-term solutions for our clients.

The Pariveda Internship Program was originally established in Dallas in 2007 to build our brand on campus and attract top talent. The program demonstrates to students that Pariveda is a unique type of consultancy that continually challenges and pushes you to grow. We want students to see firsthand our desire to invest in their career and learn that in meeting our transparent expectations they will achieve Manager faster than in industry. The program was designed to give students a real world experience so that they can make more informed decisions about their career path before committing.

In allowing our students to participate in a client experience, we give our interns the opportunity to better understand what it means to be a consultant. We want our interns to have an impact on the local market and understand that they are representing Pariveda.

During the summer of 2014, our interns will participate in an 11 week program in which they have the opportunity to experience the whole lifecycle of a project and create a solution that will help a local non-profit organization, The Children's Museum of Houston. This project will align with our core value of servant leadership and demonstrate the impact and value Pariveda brings to clients to the interns. The Children's Museum of Houston and four partner museums are undertaking a 36 month initiative to empower museum visitors to extend and customize their learning (ExCL) using smartphones and tablets. The primary goal of the 2014 Summer Intern Project is to design an effective system that museums can use in providing visitors with mobile access on their personal device to digital media content they can use to extend and customize their learning experiences at specific exhibit components. Together, we will be working with The Children's Museum of Houston to evaluate visitor outcomes related to the experience that the ExCL exhibits afford as compared to the experience without the ExCL additions.
