Rehman Internship Program for Accounting Students

Rehmann's internship mission statement is to attract and hire the best students from top universities and offer those students the opportunity to develop the skills needed to be successful in public accounting. As an intern, students can expect an opportunity doing tax and assurance assignments in a setting that encourages teamwork, feedback, training and a work/life balance.

In tax, interns can expect to:
• Be exposed to tax laws - internationally, federal and state
• Prepare tax returns including individual, corporate and trust/estate
• Have client interaction
• Be a part of client meetings
• Interface with all levels of associates

In audit, interns will:
• Become familiar with pronouncements of the FASB, AICPA and when assigned to
governmental engagements, the GAO and GASB
• Preparing financial statements
• Obtain exposure to the types of financial statement engagements offered by the firm
• Have client interaction
• Interface with all levels of associates

Rehmann offers internships in their offices located in Michigan, Ohio and Florida. The duration of the internships is from January to Mid-April, May to August and September to December. Compensation and benefits include, possible college credit, mileage when traveling to a client's location and a competitive hourly wage with time and half when working over 40 hours within a week.
