PwC's Internship Experience
PwC has two internships, Advance, our entry level internship and our experienced professional internships for MBAs. PwC's Interns will be actively engaging in the PwC professional services world, which we believe is the best learning environment, while being supported by numerous PwC employees. At the completion of the internship, interns know what is expected of them at PwC and will have had a glimpse of future opportunities for professional growth and development. Interns are a vital part of our business, and we continue to look for ways to enhance their experience here to give them a realistic preview of what it is like to work in a professional services organization, with hands-on client experience.

Training
All interns participate in training designed to develop technical skills. The physical and virtual classrooms, however, are only the beginning of the learning experience; coaching and on-the-job experiences are all part of intern development at PwC.

Client experiences
Experience challenging and relevant assignments, while working directly with PwC partners, principals, and staff. Interns will practice our commitment to client service by executing responsibilities and gaining insight into the professional services sector.

Coaching and development
Interns engage in dialogue with a dedicated coaching team focused on guiding them through the internship and enhancing their skill set by being coached to a higher level of performance on engagements and projects.

Shadowing experience
A very important component of PwC's Internship Experience is providing the interns a realistic job preview of both the profession and PwC. During the internship, each intern will have the opportunity to work on real life client tasks, as well as to shadow other PwC professionals, including a partner from their local office. The shadowing experience allows interns to develop a perspective to all levels of the firm, gaining insight to how the roles and responsibilities vary, while also providing the opportunity to strengthen connections and build long lasting professional relationships.

This year PwC gave select interns the opportunity to shadow members of our US Leadership Team, including Bob Moritz, chairman and senior partner of the US firm. This experience provided interns the opportunity to understand leadership's vision for PwC US and see the PwC Experience through leadership's eyes.

Community service
Interns live corporate responsibility by participating in community service projects. For PwC, corporate responsibility is about taking deliberate actions that highlight not only the integrity that we take to our clients and to the marketplace every day, but also the commitment we have to our people, our communities, and the environment. In 2012, PwC selected 151 interns from hundreds of applications, to travel to Belize City, Belize to work with the youth and teachers as a part of Project Belize, an effort that supports our firm's commitment to youth development through education, primarily financial literacy, and environmental sustainability.

Intern events
Interns are provided activities to network and socialize within their office, outside of their day-to-day responsibilities; relationship building is instrumental to overall career success.

International intern experience
The International Intern Experience is an opportunity for interns to immerse themselves in PwC's global network through working abroad. Selected interns will have the chance to acquire and expand critical skills that will help them succeed in a truly global landscape while experiencing a new culture, making friends, and enjoying new life challenges. Working with our global network of firms, the US firm will send interns to offices around the world for a one-week assignment. Interns will be paired with a current US assignee abroad to experience life inside the world's leading professional services firm-at home or overseas. Participating interns will develop many new skills and qualities that will be valuable for their future careers.

Selected interns will begin their winter/spring or summer internship in their respective home office on their market designated start date and will attend local training with their intern peer group. This will be followed by a one week international assignment abroad. Upon completion of this experience, interns will return to their local office to complete their winter/spring or summer internship. All work visas, housing and travel arrangements will be paid by PwC.

Launch
At PwC's intern milestone event, all interns who receive full-time offers at the completion of their internships are invited to travel to Disney in Orlando, FL for a leadership experience like no other.

Teaming with the Disney Institute, and using the Walt Disney theme parks as our "living classroom," you'll experience an innovative and experiential-based curriculum. Leadership skills, team building and personal enrichment sessions are all on the agenda, along with the opportunity to connect with PwC interns, partners and principals from around the US and across the PwC global network of member firms. And did we mention we'll have some fun along the way?

The skills and knowledge obtained through this unique experience can give you an edge both professionally and personally as you continue your education and begin your full-time career with PwC.
