As an intern at Armanino, you essentially become a first-year Staff for a summer. You will be exposed to a variety of work in a diversity of clients and industries. Much of your time will be spent performing billable work on clients, giving you a hands-on perspective of a full-time career in public accounting.

Your experience does not end solely on client work. Our interns will see what the "work" life of an Armanino professional is all about; participating in job shadowing, partner presentations, internal training, team-building, volunteer and social events. For many, an internship at Armanino marks the beginning of a strong, meaningful career.

Audit Intern Responsibilities

•Perform audits, reviews, compilations and internal audit consulting engagements.
•Develop administrative, professional and interpersonal skills to the extent of being able to organize, analyze and communicate with both fellow staff and client personnel in a productive and efficient manner.
•Learn and understand basic workpaper preparation.
•Work with a team of 2-5 fellow staff members under supervision of a senior, manager or partner.
•Develop an understanding of and capability in peronal computers and related accounting, financial and database software.
•Enhance basic accounting concepts and research techniques.

Tax Intern Responsibilities

•Preparation of Corporate, Partnership, Trust and Individual tax returns.
•Online tax research.
•Accounting work needed for tax returns.
•Development of tax planning skills.
•Develop administrative, professional and interpersonal skills to the extent of being able to organize, analyze and communicate with both fellow staff and client personnel in a productive and efficient manner.

Duration:
Internships typically last 8-10 weeks during the summer. Armaninio McKenna works with interns in scheduling their internship around their academic calendars.

Compensation:
At Armanino, interns are paid hourly plus overtime. Compensation is very competitive. Our interns do the same work as first-year staff, so we believe their pay should reflect that. Interns also have the opportunity to contribute to their 401K and receive reimbursement for work-related travel expenses. Both formally and informally, our interns will be treated to coffee, lunch, dinner throughout their internship experience.
