Application Process

The application deadline for the class of 2014-15 is February 10, 2014 and all applications can be obtained online at: www.csus.edu/calst/programs.

For each individual fellowship (Assembly, Executive, Senate and Judicial Administration) applicants must submit an application (available online), college transcripts, three letters of recommendation, a policy statement on a topic outlined in the application and a personal statement. Applicants may apply to more than one program depending on their interests. Each program is unique to the branch of government it serves. Only apply to the programs that truly interest you, and make sure you individualize each application.

Semifinalists must be present for a personal interview in Sacramento or Los Angeles in late April and early May, and final selections are made in late May.
