Application Process

Comcast recruits for our internship programs at a number of schools. Prospects who attend these schools are encouraged to apply via the Career Services portal provided by their university. For all other prospects, applications go live in the fall semester via our careers page, www.comcastoncampus.com.

A resume that includes overall GPA and anticipated graduation date is required for all applicants, as is an unofficial transcript.

Application Deadline

Application deadlines typically fall within the beginning of the spring semester preceding the summer programs, with specific dates for campus season 2015 to be determined.

Requirements

Comcast Center Internship Program

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university, in sophomore or junior year.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
  • Technical Proficiency (Particularly with Microsoft Office applications)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America.

Finance Internship Program

  • Entering final year or semester of Bachelors (or Masters) degree program with a major or minor in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum 3.4 GPA required
    - Prior business exposure through internships, work experiences or campus organizations preferred
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
  • Graduation Date must be between December 2015 and May 2016 (summer 2015 program)

Tech Internship Program

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree at a university in the United States, with a major or minor in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, Digital Media, Technology or a related field (undergraduate rising juniors and seniors eligible).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Desire to enter the Media and Technology industry upon graduation and passionate about innovation.
  • Demonstrates solid decision-making skills.
  • Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving ability.
  • Well versed in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in group settings.
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America.

The below background/skills are preferred (candidates will be considered according to their preferred functional area and/or academic background):

  • Programming languages (Java, ASP.NET, Perl, Python, PHP, Javascript, Ruby, SQL)
  • Relational Database Management system (SQL Server)
  • Operating Systems (Linux/Unix)
  • Markup Language (CSS, HTML)
  • Security (Network Intrusion Detection, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability, Malware, Firewalls)
  • Networking
  • Reporting/Data (Cognos BI, ClickFox CEA and Genesys Advisor, Microsoft SQL)
  • Scripting (Linux/Unix Shell)
