Application Process

Candidates are required to submit an online application. In addition to creating their online profile, candidates will be requested to attach their resume. Applications are not open for the 2017 summer yet. They will be available late summer via the following link: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/about/careers/university/sales.html.

Requirements

The Cisco Sales and Technical Internship consist of two programs, Worldwide Sales Internship and Americas Early-in-University Internship, in which both have opportunities to be a Field Sales or Field Engineering intern.

Top candidates illustrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, have a passion for technology, demonstrate strong teamwork and organization skills, are self-motivated and enthusiastic, and show up as a leader. In addition, the Field Engineering interns have programmability backgrounds with an understanding of basic computer languages, for example, C/C++, Java, Python, Linux.

All candidates must be in high academic standing, with a GPA or 3.0 or higher, and pursuing a Bachelor or Master's Degree in one of the below fields of study:

Field Engineering Intern: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science

Field Sales Intern: Business, Sales, Communications, Finance, Computer Science, Marketing

The Americas Early-in-University Internship is for first or second year university students (rising sophomore or rising junior). Positions are available in the United States and Canada. Relocation assistance is not provided.

The Worldwide Sales Internship is for third year university students (rising senior). Positions are available in the United States and Europe. Relocation assistance and furnished housing are provided.
