Application Process

All applicants must apply directly to our website: http://www.southwest.com/careers during the application period. A resume is all that is needed upon application. Students need to be prepared to present essay, transcripts, and recommendations if they move forward in the interview process. Applicants are welcome to apply for several positions as long as they are intersted in the position and meet the specific requirements.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Academic requirements, fields of study, skills and experience, and GPA requirements vary by position. Specific details can be found in the job descriptions for each position at http://www.southwest.com/internships.

All Interns must be enrolled full time in a college or university (as determined by your specific college or university). Typically this means undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (9 credit hours for graduate students) at the time they apply to be eligible. Graduating students are eligible to Intern the semester immediately following graduation. For example, a May graduate can Intern during the summer but would not be eligible for the fall internship.
