Application Process

To apply for an internship at Deloitte, we require candidates to create a job-specific profile online at Candidates must include a resume and transcript with their profile. In addition, candidates are able to perform a specific search in order to see a list of opportunities by location that match their interests.

Candidates have the ability to apply for multiple positions using the same profile. Once the profile is created and the candidate submits his/her information, the information is reviewed by the recruiting professionals and hiring managers in the offices where the candidate indicates an interest.

If we choose to proceed with an application, candidates are contacted either by a Deloitte professional or by their college placement office regarding next steps to schedule a campus interview.

Note: In addition to our offices in the domestic United States, our US practice also has offices in 4 offices in India: Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurgaon. Our India offices also engage in a robust Internship program, though the timing differs somewhat from that in the domestic U.S.

Deloitte supports a very collaborative environment, and we look for people who are comfortable being individual contributors, as well as working in teams. We look for people with developing technical expertise, as well as those who have the potential to be a high performer and possess a leadership mentality.

The fields of study that we typically recruit from include: Accounting, MIS, CIS, IS, IT, Computer Engineering, Finance, Economics, Actuarial, Risk Management, Statistics/Mathematics, Operations, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior. We also recruit at select law schools and MBA programs.

To obtain an internship with Deloitte, past work experience is preferred but not required. GPA can vary by position, but generally a 3.25 and above is required. The skillset we most desire is one that includes proven leadership, the ability to work in a team, and strong analytical and communication skills. Our interns range from sophomores to graduate students. The majority are Juniors. However, we employ sophomore interns for the Discovery Program and Senior interns in geographies that require a five-year degree for CPA certification requirements. Finally, we also hire non-US citizens on an appropriate student or work visa.
