Sports Photographers

The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that employment of photographers who work for newspaper, periodical, book, and directory publishers will decline by more than 34 percent through 2022. Because competition for getting photos in top-selling newspapers and magazines can be tough, sports photographers who have a varied portfolio, are experienced with the latest digital camera equipment, and have a mastery of digital photo editing software and capturing digital video will find the most job opportunities.
