Sports Facility Managers

The Department of Labor forecasts 8 percent employment growth for administration services managers overall, which is about as fast as the average for all occupations. In general, the future for facilities managers is much brighter than it is for those in other administrative services. This relatively young field is growing quickly and, especially in the private sector, is not as subject to cost-cutting pressures or as vulnerable to government cutbacks. Demand for jobs in sports administration is great, and the newer field of sports facility management is quickly catching up. Sports facility managers with knowledge of sustainable business operations and practices will also be in demand in the coming years.
