Legal Nurse Consultants

Nursing specialties will be in great demand in the future. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) reports that employment for registered nurses (RNs) is expected to grow faster than the average for all careers through 2022. Opportunities for legal nurse consultants will be good, but not as strong since the profession is small and many people want to enter the field. The DOL reports that employment for RNs who work in the legal services industry will grow by about 10 percent through 2022 (or about as fast as the average for all occupations). As long as there is litigation involving medical issues, one can expect this specialty nursing field to continue to grow.
