Industrial Chemicals Workers
Most of the equipment in the industrial chemicals industry is
now automated and computer controlled. Because of the complex
equipment used, employers prefer to hire workers with at least a
high school diploma. Knowledge of basic mathematics, science, and
computer skills is essential for those seeking employment in this
field. Machine shop experience is also useful. A background in
chemistry may prove helpful to understand materials, reactions, and
processes. Experience with lab ware may be beneficial as well.
