Hydroelectric production managers oversee and maintain hydroelectric power generation facilities. They supervise production and operation workers and make sure the power plant equipment is operating efficiently and in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. The National Hydropower Association reports that up to 300,000 people are employed in the hydropower industry.
