Hotel Executive Housekeepers
The Occupational Outlook Handbook reports that employment for all lodging managers—including executive housekeepers—will grow more slowly than the average for all occupations through 2018. Job prospects for hotel housekeeping executives should remain healthy. Several key factors, among them more international business travel, rising personal incomes, continued growth of the two-income family, and increased emphasis on leisure time and travel, contribute to the need for hotels and qualified people to maintain them. Even with a slower economy, chances are housekeeping will be last on the list for budget trimming. Without the reputation of a clean house, no hotel has a chance for success.
