Grain Merchants

According to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the employment of purchasing agents and buyers of farm products is expected to grow about as fast as the average for all careers through 2024. Since grain must be evaluated for freshness and quality, it is not as easy to conduct transactions for this product electronically (as is the case with other commodities). The DOL says that "candidates with a bachelor’s degree, in addition to strong negotiating, communication, and interpersonal skills, are likely to have the best prospects."
