Energy Conservation Technicians
Since energy use constitutes a major expense for industry, commerce, government, institutions, and private citizens, the demand for energy conservation technicians is likely to remain strong. The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that the employment of environmental engineering technicians is expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations through 2020. In addition to the financial costs of purchasing natural resources, the added reality of the physical costs of depleting these important resources continues to create a greater demand for trained energy conservation employees. However, employment is influenced by local and national economic conditions.
