Digital Advertising and Marketing Workers

Employment for digital advertising and marketing workers is expected to be good during the next decade. Emarketer.com predicts that total online ad spending will reach $50 billion by 2015. Factors influencing growth include the increasing popularity of online video advertising, banner advertising, and advertising on social media sites such as Facebook and mobile devices. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that many advertising agencies are "increasingly focusing their effort and financial resources to Internet advertising, reflecting, in large part, the growing number of Internet users. In particular, employers will seek those who have the skills to conduct new types of advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations, and sales campaigns involving new media, particularly the Internet."
