Corporate Community Relations Directors
Strong community relations and outreach play a key role in the success of businesses today. In the wake of corporate scandals, consumers are holding corporations to higher standards in exchange for their customer loyalty. As a result, corporate community relations directors will be in demand as corporations seek to educate the media, government agencies, and the public about the actions of their companies and their community outreach programs. The Department of Labor predicts the employment growth for public relations specialists overall will be about 23 percent, faster than the average, through 2020. Public relations managers will experience 16 percent growth, or about as fast as the average for all occupations, through 2020. Managers with experience and skill in digital and social media will have better odds of securing work.
