Corporate community relations directors work to promote a positive image of corporations through various forms of philanthropy, such as educational programs, grants, and cultural and sporting events. They are responsible for researching, planning, implementing, and advertising these outreach programs. Oftentimes, corporate community relations directors act as liaisons between the corporation and community, nonprofit groups, local government, and the media.
