Cooking Instructors

An increasing number of Americans are becoming interested in learning how to cook. Some just want to learn as a hobby, but many want to train to become professional cooks and chefs. This suggests that there will be good opportunities for cooking instructors. Overall, employment for all postsecondary teachers is expected to be good during the next decade. Employment for middle and high school teachers, including vocational instructors, should also be steady. Overall employment of career and technical education teachers is projected to grow 9 percent from 2012 to 2022, about as fast as the average for all occupations, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
