Construction Managers

Employment of construction managers is projected to grow 16 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. A shortage of qualified workers, the growing complexity and number of construction projects, increasing demand for energy-efficient retrofitting of existing buildings, and the need for better cost management of construction projects have spurred strong demand for construction managers—especially those with experience and bachelor's or higher degrees in construction science, construction management, or civil engineering.  Â
