Clinical Nurse Specialists

Employment of clinical nurse specialists is expected to grow 31 percent from 2012 to 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations. Growth will occur because of an increase in the demand for health care services. Several factors, including health care legislation and the resulting newly insured, an increased emphasis on preventative care, and the large, aging baby-boom population will contribute to this demand.¬†Clinical nurse specialists with the proper credentials and certification should have no trouble finding posts in a wide variety of health care facilities.  ¬†
