Beverage Industry Workers

High School

A high school diploma is required for many positions in the beverage industry, but that is only the beginning of preparation for this work. Courses in family and consumer science, chemistry, shop, mathematics, and business will help prepare you for both the job itself and further training that is required in this complex and multilayered field. Although there are almost always some positions available for unskilled laborers, it is unlikely that any advancement or job security can be obtained without at least a high school diploma. Much training is provided by beverage companies, but basic education is necessary to qualify for more sophisticated training programs.
