Agricultural Equipment Technicians

The Occupational Outlook Handbook reports that employment of agricultural equipment technicians is expected to grow about as fast as the average for all careers through 2024. Agricultural equipment businesses now demand more expertise than ever before, so there will be opportunities for technicians. A variety of complex specialized machines and mechanical devices are steadily being produced and modified to help farmers improve the quality and productivity of their labor. These machines require trained technicians to design, produce, test, sell, and service them. Trained workers also are needed to instruct the final owners in their proper repair, operation, and maintenance.
