How do I view my Guide?

Once you purchase a Vault Guide, you can view or download the guide in the eBook Viewer.

To view a guide:

  1. Log in to your Vault account.
  2. Click the down arrow to the right of "Welcome…" at the top right of the page to access the myVault drop-down menu, and select "My Guides" on the drop-down menu.
  3. On the My Guides page, click the Guide you'd like to view or download.
  4. On the product page for the Guide, click the View Guide button to open the guide in the eBook Viewer.

You can also access guides you have purchased by searching or browsing for the Guide, and then clicking the View Guide button directly in the product page for the Guide. The My Guides page just gives you a quick way to access the guides you have purchased.

How do I download my Vault Guide?

You can download your Vault Guide through the eBook Viewer. You will need a reader that is compatible with the specific guide format (PDF or EPUB) in order to read the downloaded guide.

To download a guide:

  1. In the eBook Viewer, click the 'Download' option on the left side of the screen.
  2. Enter your email address (as shown below) and click the GO button.
  3. A message will display to let you know that an email with instructions for downloading the guide has been sent to the email address provided.
    Note: If you would like to download the eBook to a device, then the best way, if possible, is to open the download email on your device. For more information, see "How do I download my Vault Guide to a device" below.
  4. Check your email. If you do not see an email from guides@vault.com, check your spam folder and add guides@vault.com to your contacts list.
  5. The email includes a link to download the eBook. The link expires in 24 hours. Click the link to go to the Download page.
  6. On the Download page, click the Download eBook button. You will need an EPUB or PDF reader (depending on the eBook type) to read your eBook. Note that the download page specifies the type of reader you will need. See "What other readers is my Vault Guide compatible with?"

How do I download my Vault Guide to a device?

The best way to download the eBook to your device is via the link in the download email.  For more information about the download email, see "How do I download my Vault Guide?"

If you can access email from your device:

  1. Open the "Your Title is ready to Download" email from your device.
  2. Click the download link in the email, as this will take you to the Download page.
  3. On the Download page, click the Download eBook button.

If you do not get email on your device:

You can download the eBook on your PC/Mac and transfer the eBook to your device. For more on this, check your device manufacturer's website for information on how to transfer files to your device.

You will need an EPUB or PDF reader (depending on the eBook type) to read your eBook. Note that the download page specifies the type of reader you will need. See "What other readers is my Vault Guide compatible with?"

Can I access my Vault PDF Guide from another computer?

Yes.

Can I forward my Vault PDF Guide to another computer?

Yes.

Can I read my Vault Guide with any other program than Adobe Digital Editions?

If you've downloaded a PDF Guide, you can read it on your PC or Mac in Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader is a free download.

If you've downloaded an EPUB Guide, you can read it on your PC in Adobe Digital Editions. On a Mac, you can read it in Apple iBooks. Both Adobe Digital Editions and Apple iBooks are free to download.

What other readers is my Vault Guide compatible with?

Ideally, download the eBook to your device from the download email. If direct download is not an option, transfer the eBook from your PC/Mac to your device. For more on this, check with your device manufacturer's website.
