W!LDBRAIN doesn't claim to be tame. The computer animation studio develops and produces content for film, TV, commercials, and interactive markets. W!LDBRAIN's animation was featured in sequences for Universal Pictures' film The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, and its hit TV series YO GABBA GABBA! airs on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. and Noggin networks. Subsidiary Kidrobot creates and distributes limited-edition toys, apparel, and other merchandise in its stores and online. W!LDBRAIN was founded in 1994 by Jeff Fino, John Hays, and Phil Robinson. In 2010, it was acquired by Canada-based DHX Media, a producer of television and online content.
In 2009 the company launched a live US touring show based on YO GABBA GABBA!. As soon as tickets went on sale for the show, called YO GABBA GABBA! LIVE: THERE'S A PARTY IN MY CITY, experienced immediate sell-outs in Los Angeles and New York. The tour is continuing on to additional cities throughout the US in 2010.
W!LDBRAIN additionally has a motion picture based on YO GABBA GABBA! in the works, and has teamed with Paramount to develop a motion picture based on Kidrobot characters. The company has completed commercial work for major clients such as Coca-Cola Company, Honda, Kraft, and Nike.
Former CEO Charles Rivkin left the company after being named as President Obama's candidate to serve as the US Ambassador to France. He was replaced by Michael Polis, formerly the chief marketing officer of W!LDBRAIN. Polis has previous executive experience at The Jim Henson Company and Universal Home Entertainment.
