PPC Broadband has major connections in the cable and telecommunications industries. The company manufactures and distributes connectors, traps, filters, splitters, couplers, and other products used by cable television and telecommunications network operators. Cable providers use its products to control access to their content. The company also offers a line of cables for the consumer market, as well as products for the security market. Former parent John Mezzalingua Associates sold PPC Broadband to Belden in 2012.

Fellow cable manufacturer Belden paid $515 million for PPC Broadband, which became part of Belden’s Broadcast Solutions platform. Former parent John Mezzalingua Associates (JMA) kept the PPC Wireless division and renamed itself JMA.
In addition to its Syracuse, New York corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant, PPC Broadband also has manufacturing and distribution facilities in China, Denmark, Mexico, and the West Indies island of St. Kitts. Additional distribution centers are located in Denver, Miami, and Toronto.
