November 10, 2014: Cognizant became the first corporation in the global technology and business process services industry to adopt the Claritas Investment Certificate program, a comprehensive global program designed to give all professional disciplines in financial services outside of investment roles a clear understanding of the investment industry and their professional responsibilities within it. Approximately 1,000 professionals of Cognizant will take the certification program over the next two years to build knowledge and sense of responsibility around the investment industry. This will further strengthen Cognizant’s position as one of the leading providers of industry-aligned business process services to top financial services companies. The agreement is the largest business implementation contract for Claritas since its launch in 2013.

October 8, 2014: Cognizant ranked #1 in the Association for Talent Development’s (formerly ASTD) 2014 BEST Awards program. Cognizant is the first organization in the 70-year history of ATD to earn top honors in the BEST rankings for two years in a row. ATD is the world’s largest association dedicated to those who develop talent in organizations. The BEST Awards are the talent development industry’s most rigorous and coveted recognition, and recognize organizations that demonstrate enterprise-wide success through employee learning and development. Cognizant competed against nearly 100 organizations from 14 countries and is among 46 organizations from six countries to receive a 2014 BEST Award.

September 10, 2014: Cognizant won five awards at the prestigious Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards for 2014 for its learning and development programs. Cognizant won a gold medal in the “Best Results of a Learning Program” category for its Cognizant Infrastructure Management Practitioner (CIMP) program. The company was awarded two silver medals in the “Best Learning Program Supporting a Change Transformation” and “Best Results of a Learning Program” categories for its eMerge program (aimed at frontline managers) and Emerging Partners Program respectively. The company bagged two bronze medals in the “Best Use of Blended Learning” and “Best Use of Social/Collaborative Learning” categories for its Reinforce program (meant for practicing project managers) and New Business Delivery program respectively. Pioneered in 1994, the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards program is the most prestigious awards program in the industry, often called the “Academy Awards” by learning, talent, and business executives.

July 25, 2014: The Economic Times, a top selling business daily, ranked Cognizant as the top recruiter from premier B-schools in India across industry sectors for the second year in the running. Cognizant topped the paper’s annual ranking of B-school recruiters with 141 offers (up from 83 offers last year) across 21 premier B-schools in India that the paper considered for the study. The paper compiled hiring data from nearly 100 companies to put together the fourth edition of the top recruiters list. In a special report, the paper wrote: “Cognizant, which aced the India’s top recruiters list last year, snagged the numero uno position once again. The company, which has one MBA for every 20-25 tech professionals, said it has hired over 500 MBA students from the 2014 graduating batch across B-schools in India, North America, Europe and APAC. Over the last three years, it has hired more than 200 MBAs every year. Cognizant hired several dozen MBAs from top-tier B-schools in Europe, the Middle East and APAC and almost 50 from the US.”
