Fox BSB Holdco, doing business as The Los Angeles Dodgers, operates one of the oldest and most storied franchises in Major League Baseball, boasting six World Series championships and 21 National League pennants. The team started in Brooklyn, New York in 1884 but moved west to Los Angeles in 1957. The Dodgers were the first team to break the color barrier with the signing of Jackie Robinson. The team plays home games at Dodger Stadium. In April 2012, a group led by former Los Angeles Lakers star Magic Johnson acquired the iconic Dodgers franchise from Frank McCourt for a record $2.15 billion.

The team has almost always made money -- even when the product on the field hasn't been great, much like the Chicago Cubs still bring in crowds and sell merchandise during losing seasons. However, the new ownership group has been making bold personnel moves signalling their intention to build a winning tradition again at Dodgers Stadium regardless of the costs.
