About CHICAGO NATIONAL LEAGUE BALL CLUB, LLC
Chicago National League Ball Club operates the Chicago Cubs franchise of Major League Baseball. The team was formed as the Chicago White Stockings in 1876 and became the Cubs in 1907. The Cubs won the World Series in 2016, thus ending a historic 108 year championship drought that started after the team won the World Series title back in 1908. Tourists and Chicagoans flock to the charming and iconic Wrigley Field (the second-oldest ballpark in MLB, after Boston's Fenway Park) to see their Cubbies play. A group led by billionaire Tom Ricketts acquired a majority of the Cubs in 2009.
