Cohn & Wolfe's Professional and Financial Services division assists clients with capital markets, investor relations, and corporate reputation issues.
The company has used partnerships to expand its business and innovate. During 2014 the firm launched the Cohn & Wolfe Mobile Engagement unit ME-24. ME-24 is a joint venture with Joule, a global leader in mobile and multiscreen marketing.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Cohn & Wolfe expanded when it acquired AxiCom, a European public relations agency focused on the technology sector, back in 2008. Looking to strengthen its geographic reach, Cohn & Wolfe merged its AxiCom unit with Enfatico's US and European public relations operations in 2010. Also owned by WPP, Enfatico is a creative advertising agency catering to high-tech clients.
AxiCom provided Cohn & Wolfe with a presence across seven countries in Europe specialized in serving wireless, telecommunications, and digital media clients. The move enhanced Cohn & Wolfe's resources and gave it access to expertise in digital and social media. The company has been emphasizing its marketing to women and implementing a more critical focus on online public relations.
