From herbal extracts and enzymes to vitamins and probiotics, Enzymatic Therapy has something for what ails you. The company manufactures and markets nutritional supplements and other OTC products which are sold with the Enzymatic Therapy, Nature's Way, and Remifemin labels through natural foods retailers and mass market retailers in the US. Its products are aimed to alleviate everything from sleeplessness to hot flashes and are distributed throughout the US. Its Integrative Therapeutics and Vitaline brands are sold through healthcare practitioners' offices. The company is a unit of German firm Dr. Willmar Schwabe Pharmaceuticals.
Enzymatic Therapy was formed in 2000 through the merger of four companies: Vitaline Formulas, NF Formulas, Tyler Formulas, and Enzymatic Therapy. Company management and private equity firm North Castle Partners held Enzymatic Therapy until 2008 when it was acquired by Dr. Willmar Schwabe Pharmaceuticals. Schwabe rolled Enzymatic Therapy together with its North American supplement maker Nature's Way Products, Inc. to combine its manufacturing and distribution facilities across the US and Canada.
Also known as Schwabe North America, the company now distributes the Boericke & Tafel line of homeopathic remedies in the US, as well as a whole cabinet of other supplement brands including Primadophilus, Camocare, and Thisilyn.
