About South Jersey Publishing Company

South Jersey Publishing operates The Press of Atlantic City , the leading local newspaper serving Southeastern New Jersey. The newspaper traces its roots to 1895 when publisher Walter Edge (who later became a two-time governor of New Jersey, a US senator, and ambassador to France) launched The Daily Press in Atlantic City. Rolland Adams purchased the paper in 1951; his family continues to control the business through their diversified holding company ABARTA.
