Sales and Marketing
While PennWell is not a household name, the publisher's titles
are well-known among the business sectors
it covers. Through its global events, PennWell reaches
more than 135,000 petroleum professionals across 75 countries. This
extended reach is unique in the international petroleum market.
The company has used strategic partnerships as a way to grow its
business and expand its footprint. PennWell will also use its cash
on hand to acquire complementary businesses.
Mergers and Acquisitions
During fiscal 2014 PennWell acquired a 51% interest in Revo
Media Partners Limited, owner of LuxLive, the UK's largest
dedicated lighting event, and Lux Magazine and Lux Review, the
leading trade publications in the energy efficiency lighting space.
The deal with Revo Media moved along PennWell's expansion plans for
serving all segments of the LED and lighting industries.
