If you prefer el radio to emit español, then you can turn to the Libermans. Liberman Broadcasting (LBI) owns and operates more than 20 Spanish-language radio stations offering a variety of music, news, and talk radio programming in such markets as Dallas, Houston, and Los Angeles. On television, the company operates the Spanish-language broadcast network Estrella TV, along with five local television stations in California, Texas, and Utah. In addition to broadcasting, LBI produces more than 50 hours of TV programming weekly through its studio in Burbank, California. Father-and-son team José and Lenard Liberman founded Liberman Broadcasting in 1987.
Liberman launched Estrella TV during 2009 to diversify more heavily into the television industry. The network is focused on stealing audiences away from market leaders Univision and TeleFutura (both owned by Univision Communications) and NBCUniversal's Telemundo.
