One of the leading public relations firms in the US, the company specializes in about 30 different practice groups and offers services ranging from public relations to marketing to reputation management. Conducting business in more than 20 languages, its expertise includes graphic design, media training, market research, and story placement. Fleishman-Hillard, which is a division of advertising conglomerate Omnicom, has about 80 offices across the globe. The firm's clients have included such heavy hitters as Procter & Gamble, Dell, Nortel, and Wal-Mart. Fleishman-Hillard was founded in 1946 by Al Fleishman and Bob Hillard; it was acquired by Omnicom in 1997.
The firm's 80 offices span more than 30 countries across the Americas, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. It has affiliates in 42 countries.
In order to expand and diversify, Fleishman-Hillard has been branching out into more niche areas. It has launched an animal care practice group serving veterinarians and consumers. Fleishman-Hillard also opened a sustainability communications practice designed to consult with clients on environmental issues and energy consumption policies.
In 2014 Fleishman-Hillard formed a strategic alliance with risk management firm Kroll. The partnership combines their respective areas of expertise in cybersecurity and data breach risk mitigation.
