Experienced in Strategy | Chicago, IL | 2016 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

The work is interesting, the opportunities to take ownership early are strong and the results are very rewarding and tangible

Downers

With our small focus, sometimes the clients or work is repetitive or limiting, and staffing is not truly in our control

This is a great firm to work for as you get started in consulting, and since there is no "2 years and out" expectation or "up or out" policy, everyone has a chance to truly develop at their own pace and do work that's super interesting and challenging.

Filter 1) Are there great opportunities for new hires to make an impact right away

Filter 2) Is the type of work you are likely to do interesting to you

Filter 3) Do you like the people you spend time with getting to know the firm

2 and 3 are completely about personal preference. TCG exclusively focuses on growth strategy, so that's an easy one to assess. 3 you won't discover until you have a chance to meet people.
