We Do Good, Together

Of course, at GEP we insist on changing the business of our clients for the better. But we refuse to stop there. With GEP Social Initiatives (GEPSI), we also band together to inspire change in the communities in which we live and work.

Our founders established GEP with a philanthropic spirit back in 1999 and continue to carry that spirit today. “Initiatives that are near and dear to me are elimination of hunger, education and entrepreneurship, particularly for women,” says Roopa Makhija, GEP President.

GEPSI began, as many success stories do, with the efforts of one person. A United States consultant took a trip to Ethiopia and came back filled with gratitude and a desire to help those who are not so fortunate.

The effort launched in the United States office in 2009. This endeavor then spread to our offices in India in early 2010, when Women@GEP India got together to spread awareness about contemporary social issues, engage with non-profits and local communities, and collaborate with them to help meet their needs.

Today, GEPSI is a global GEP effort, involving all of our offices and reaching out to our clients, partners, communities and local non-profits to develop an ever-evolving ecosystem of giving.

Our offices around the world participate in GEPSI activities and fundraisers, and remember, even the smallest gesture can make a huge difference to one person.
