Leading the largest professional services firm in the US is Cathy Engelbert, CEO of Deloitte LLP. Prior to being elected to the post in 2015, Cathy was chairman and CEO of Deloitte & Touche LLP, the firm's audit subsidiary, and held various leadership roles serving the world's leading life sciences and pharmaceutical companies and advising multinational companies on financial instrument accounting matters. She is the first female CEO of a professional services firm in the US. 

Heading up Deloitte Consulting LLP in the US is Janet Foutty as chairman and CEO, a position she assumed in January 2016 succeeding Jim Moffatt. Janet is currently the only female CEO to lead a consulting practice of this scope and scale. 

During her 25 years with Deloitte, Janet led Deloitte's federal practice of more than 7,300 practitioners helping federal agencies transform into more efficient, effective organizations. She expanded the practice despite a difficult market environment that included sequestration and a government shutdown while growing revenues and improving profitability. Prior to that she led Deloitte Consulting LLP's Technology practice where she achieved double-digit growth and launched several innovative businesses that address clients' needs in evolving areas. During her career, Janet served clients across industries and elevated awareness around critical topics like veterans' issues; millennials in public service; and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. 

Janet is an advocate of Deloitte's Women's Initiative and has founded Women in Technology groups in India and in the United States. She also sits on the board of Bright Pink, a nonprofit dedicated to women's health. Additionally, Janet serves on the Dean's Council of the Indiana University, Kelly School of Business, and on the board of directors of the Professional Services Council.
