People. Amazing projects. Great clients. Opportunities to learn (on projects, and through external opportunities like business school/externships and post-business school gap programs)

Downers

We're not building start-ups, but relative to other consulting firms we tend to work with much more entrepreneurially-minded organizations.

Comments

Look at growth rates of companies and head-to-head client wins to see Brand potential. While Bain historically has been smaller than BCG/McKinsey in most geographies (the Bay Area being the largest exception), it has stolen share consistently for the last 15 years in almost every geography (subtext being that Bain is dominating and moving into dominating positions). Consulting magazine really nails what makes Bain special: people, exceptional development opportunities, focus on practical results, innovative practice areas.
