I get a paycheck. There are a lot of great people here, even if we don't socialize like we used to.
Lack of associate development, training or workflow management. Lack of formal practice group structure.
First/screening interview is one hour comprised of two half-hour interviews. Before the economy tanked, the firm sought to hire personable, outgoing individuals with stellar academic credentials and oral/written communication skills, but with less emphasis on the "rank" of a candidate's school than at other medium to large sized law firms. This is true new, but the firm only hires where it has needs.
