From the Midwest to Beyond
Calfee was founded in Cleveland in 1903 by GW Law grad Robert M.
Calfee. In 1929, Edwin G. Halter graduated from the Western Reserve
School of Law and became a partner-his name was added to the firm's
name in 1946. In 1950 U.S. Supreme Court clerk Bruce Griswold
joined the firm. He would later add his name to the stationary in
1973. Today, Calfee routinely represents a wide spectrum of private
and public organizations, entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 companies,
governments and individuals, including everything from privately
held businesses to venture capital companies.
