Young California law firm Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo was founded by Steven J. Andelson, Steven D. Atkinson and Ronald C. Ruud in 1979. FRISK-y Business

One of the firm's founding name partners, Steven J. Andelson, developed the FRISK Documentation Model, a widely-used template which provides employers in the public sector, particularly education, with guidelines and advice on how to address and improve employee performance. The model focuses on the process being progressive, corrective and positive for the employee. Andelson also authored the National Labor Relations Board Procedures and Practices with Reference to the Educational Employment Relations Act.
