company is a leading meat packer and distributor that produces
boneless sirloin, filet mignon, and other specialty beef cuts, as
well as veal, lamb, poultry, and seafood. Supported by its
Nebraska-based manufacturing plants, distribution facility, and
freezer warehouse, the firm sells its products to customers through
80-plus company-owned retail stores in nearly 30 US
states, as well as through mail-order catalogs and online. Omaha
Steaks also distributes beef to foodservice operators and other
retail outlets. The family-owned business was founded as Table
Supply Meat Company in 1917 by J. J. Simon and his son.
