When businesses need a little help in taking care of their customers, teleservices company Sitel (formerly ClientLogic) wants to be there. The company is a leading provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) services related to customer care. Its offerings include customer acquisition, back-office processing, collections, and technical support. To assist its clients with their sales management needs, Sitel performs inbound and outbound sales, subscription renewal, database cleaning, lead generation, and order fulfillment services. Canadian investment company Onex owns a controlling stake in Sitel.
Sitel operates from more than 135 facilities in about 25 countries around the world.
Sales and Marketing
The company serves about 270 clients, including FORTUNE 500 companies, across a broad range of industries including technology, financial services, wireless, retail and consumer products, telecommunications, media and entertainment, energy and utilities, internet service providers, travel and transportation, insurance, healthcare, and government.
Sitel’s revenue increased slightly less than 1% in fiscal 2012 compared to the previous year. The modest growth was driven by a spike in existing client campaign revenues and an increase in revenues from new clients.
The company has been expanding its business by adding new locations. In 2013 Sitel UK expanded two of its contact center sites in Leavesden Park (Watford) and Stratford. In 2012 Sitel expanded its footprint in the Philippines by opening a new call center in Eton, Manila. Sitel continues to expand its footprint in the Philppines, where the nation's BPO industry is expected to grow at an annual rate of 15% through 2015.
