Exchange customers are able to exchange insurance policies with other customers through a third-party attorney-in-fact (AIF). The company is part of the Farmers Insurance Group, which also includes Fire Insurance Exchange and Truck Insurance Exchange; Foremost Insurance Group; 21st Century Insurance; and Farmers Financial Solutions. Farmers Group (dba Farmers Underwriters Association) and its subsidiaries provide administrative services for the group's three exchanges. Farmers Insurance Exchange is owned by its subscribing members.
