About Employment Standards Administration

Think your boss isn't paying your overtime properly? The folks at the Employment Standards Administration (ESA) have got your back. The ESA enforces laws dealing with wage and working conditions through four main programs: Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Office of Labor-Management Standards, Office of Workers' Compensation Programs, and Wage and Hour Division. The administration answers questions and enforces compliance on issues like minimum wage, child labor, family and medical leave, and overtime pay. It also publishes reports on labor unions. The agency is the largest component of the US Department of Labor and has a network of six regional offices.
