EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ADMINISTRATION

  • Overview
"What's the ETA on that efficiency?" It's coming right up if the Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration (ETA) has anything to say about it. The agency provides job training, employment information, and income maintenance programs for a more efficient US labor market; it does this primarily through state and local development systems. ETA helps create an agile workforce by encouraging entrepreneurs, boosting opportunities for the poor, developing training programs, working with schools, and supporting communities. Among the administration's projects are the Adult Training Program (WIA), the Migrant & Seasonal Farm Workers Youth Program, and Welfare-to-Work programs.
