The company designs, makes, and sells wool felt, fur felt, and straw hats and caps. Its brands include the licensed Kangol name, as well as its own Bailey, Country Gentleman, Eddy Bros., Helen Kaminski, Ignite, PANTROPIC, and Plaza Suite brands, among others. Some of its hats are made at its factory in Pennsylvania, but most are produced overseas. Bollman, which was founded in 1868, sells its hats in more than 75 countries. The hat maker is owned by its management, which bought the firm from the founding Bollman family.
Some of Bollman's hats are manufactured in Adamstown, Pennsylvania. The rest are made a factories in Asia, Mexico, and Italy. The company has a wool sourcing plant in San Angelo, Texas, and showrooms in Denver, New York, London, and Sydney, Australia. It's one of the few wool sourcing operations in North America, offering warehousing, blending, and rebaling services.
Its private label division boasts a design and production team that has the capability to create hats and accessories from a variety of materials and fabrics produced in the US, Europe, and Asia.
